Everybody needs Good Neighbours

I'm urging residents to get involved in Council’s Good Neighbour Clean-Up Project, and volunteer some time for their elderly or disabled neighbours.
The volunteer service helps the elderly and disabled in the community by picking up rubbish too large to fit in their bins to and taking it to Council transfer stations.
Council needs people to support this important project, which aims to give elderly people a way to ‘age in place’ rather than moving too soon into a residential care situation.
We want Brisbane to be an open, accessible and inclusive city and a part of this is being good neighbours in our own streets and suburbs.
If you have some time to give away, or know of elderly or disabled people who could use the service then I’d urge you to get on the phone and make a positive difference in someone’s life.
To sign up or volunteer, contact the Hamilton Ward office 3403 1095.
