QUU conclude Bartley's Hill upgrade
Posted on Thursday, 22 December, 2011
I’m pleased to advise ongoing reservoir upgrade work undertaken by Queensland Urban Utilities at Bartley’s Hill has finally reached completion, a number of months since work began.
The upgrade included an inlet improvement to improve storage capability of the reservoir, reducing the risk of the reservoir running dry and improving deficiencies in water pressure for the local area supplied by it.
In addition, temporary excavation works have been completed with the reservoir security fence replaced, as well as reinstatement of the road, car park and general landscaping.
The road between Massey and Morgan Streets, known both as Massey Street and Blair Street has reopened to pedestrians and vehicles, including access to the park area off Blair Street.
I wish to extend my thanks to local residents who exercised the upmost patience during the delivery of this project.
