Working hard for Hamilton

Green thumbs donate park bench

Green thumbs donate park bench

I recently welcomed the addition of a communal park bench outside Hamilton Library as donated by local gardening enthusiasts, Clayfield Ascot Garden Club.

The generosity of Clayfield Ascot Garden Club has delivered a park bench on Hamilton Library's Racecourse Road frontage and I know for certain, its installation has been welcomed by locals and visitors to Racecourse Road.

Fronting up to the office most mornings there is often a person or two utilising Council Libraries free Wi-Fi service and now they will be at liberty to do so in comfort.

Clayfield Ascot Garden Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Presbyterian Church Hall at 68 Charlton Street Ascot.

New members are always welcome and I encourage those interested in learning a thing or two about residential gardening to phone Colleen Hill of the Club on 3262 1732.
