CITY HALL DOORS NOW OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC
After three years of crucial restorations and repairs, I am happy to announce a structurally stronger and more accessible City Hall is open again to the public.
The Rededication Stone will be placed on the front of City Hall facing King George Square at the Ann Street end of the building, commemorating the hard work that has gone into the three-year project and all the supporters of the National Trust Brisbane City Hall Appeal.
I think people will be impressed by both how City Hall’s ‘old world charm’ has been enhanced and the subtle integration of new additions such as the 8,500 LED lights above the main auditorium, the large industrial kitchen built underneath it and the four new function rooms.
For the first time, the Museum of Brisbane (MoB) will open the doors of its new home on top of City Hall to showcase its much-anticipated three new exhibitions.
